Sarah specializes in helping patients process trauma, changing relationship patterns, create healthy coping skills, adjust to overwhelming changes in their life journey.
Before coming to Taproot Therapy Collective Sarah worked primarily with patients with disordered eating and dually diagnosed patients in a residential, outpatient and virtual settings. She has advanced skills treating patients with many complex conditions simultaneously. This often involves listening to body cues, and learning to live in an aware, flexible and attuned manner.
Sarah is passionate about working with individuals from all backgrounds and celebrates the diversity and unique attributes each patient brings to therapy. She is an LGBTQ+ and body diversity affirming therapist. Sarah is a HAES aligned clinician, using social justice principles to help patience experiencing their deep body knowledge and lived experiences.
Sarah is trained in EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She uses these and other skills to help patients to learn to see themselves and the world in a healthy way. Her office is a safe, open, and compassionate environment for clients to learn to deeply feel, recognize and regulate emotion. Sarah listens to each patients unique goals and values to guide their healing journey.
